Gee Whiz was founded in 2012 to support family child care providers in the important work they do each day with children and families. Our goal was to create a curriculum product and supporting materials designed specifically for FCC/FCCH providers. We knew that the product needed to address all ages, meet state and national standards, be affordable and work in a home setting. After months of test marketing, we came up with a product which has since been strengthened and enhanced based on the feedback from providers and Quality Specialists.
Today the Gee Whiz curriculum is approved for QRIS programs in many states and is fully aligned with state and national ECE standards … include the Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework. We are continually enhancing the curriculum to make it fit the needs of family child care providers and the children they serve. We constantly review and incorporate new research related to early childhood and family child care into the curriculum. Because Gee Whiz is a digital product, we can do this easily and efficiently!
Gee Whiz also supports providers through webinar training designed to enhance their roles as educators. Our live webinars are always recorded and made available on both the Gee Whiz website and our YouTube channel. This is yet another way we work hard to support family child care providers in the important role they play in the education of young children everywhere.

Beth has over 30 years of experience in the education field. She’s taught public school KG and 1st grade, worked in early childhood centers, been the lead curriculum developer for HighReach Learning and trained at both the state and national levels.
