Off to the Beach

Grab your beach towel and your sunscreen! Our next unit, “Off to the Beach” is sure to be a hit with your group. In addition, to learning more about the ocean, sand and seashells, we will explore unique sea creatures like crabs, fish and even sharks. Because many people do not live near the ocean, books and short videos will be extremely helpful teaching tools for this unit. In addition, you may want to post pictures of beaches from around the world on the walls. Travel agencies and/or the internet are good sources for finding these materials.
